According to Maoyan statistics, as of the morning of February 9, Legend of the Condor Heroes: The Great Hero has earned only 620 million yuan after nearly two weeks in theaters. The film currently ranks 5th at the Chinese box office, trailing far behind competitors Ne Zha: The Ghost in the Sea and Detective Chinatown 1900.

Despite high expectations, the Xiao Zhan-led film has underperformed. It initially showed promise, earning over 100 million yuan in pre-sale tickets and grossing 258 million yuan on its opening day. The movie also secured a solid screening rate of over 17% upon release. However, its momentum quickly faded, with daily ticket sales and screenings declining sharply.

Industry analysts predict that the film will struggle to surpass 650-700 million yuan in total revenue. Given its massive 500 million yuan production budget, Legend of the Condor Heroes: The Great Hero needed at least 1.5 billion yuan to break even. With current projections, it could suffer losses exceeding 300 million yuan (around $40 million USD), making it one of the biggest disappointments of the season.
