While promoting his new movie Dog Man, Pete Davidson shared details about his tattoo removal journey, calling it “very painful” and advising others to think carefully before getting inked. The 30-year-old actor, who started the process in 2020, spent $200,000 to erase tattoos covering his body.
Davidson also revealed that quitting smoking was part of his effort to change his appearance, saying, “I looked in the mirror and thought, ‘Oh no. Who is that?’ That’s when I knew it was time for a change.”
A source described the tattoo removal as “a new beginning” for Davidson, noting that things are going well in his career. However, in late 2024, he entered rehab for mental health and substance abuse issues, shortly after ending his brief relationship with The Bachelor star Maria Georgas.
Davidson has been to rehab at least four times and has openly discussed his struggles with mental health. His most recent treatment was in July 2024, when he left the facility just weeks after starting.
