"The Batman" star Robert Pattinson is set to appear on an upcoming episode of the popular Korean variety show Running Man, airing on February 9.

According to Star News Korea on January 20, Pattinson is currently in Korea to promote his latest film, Mickey 17, directed by Bong Joon Ho. After attending a press conference in Yongsan-gu, the actor unexpectedly encountered the Running Man cast and crew, who were filming nearby.

Although appearing on the show was not part of his original schedule, the overlapping timelines led to discussions between the two teams, resulting in Pattinson’s decision to join as a guest. The production team has since confirmed his appearance in the February 9 episode.

The announcement quickly went viral on online forums, with fans expressing excitement to see how Pattinson—who rarely participates in reality TV—will interact with the show’s cast.

Running Man, which debuted on July 11, 2010, on SBS, has become a cultural phenomenon. The show features regular members and guest celebrities teaming up to complete various missions. Over the years, global stars like Jackie Chan, Tom Cruise, Henry Cavill, and BLACKPINK have made guest appearances. The show has also been adapted in countries such as China, Vietnam, and Thailand.

Born in 1986, Robert Pattinson rose to international fame as Edward Cullen in the Twilight saga. In 2022, he took on the iconic role of Bruce Wayne in The Batman, earning praise from critics and audiences alike.

Pattinson’s latest film, Mickey 17, is a sci-fi thriller about Mickey Barnes, a clone tasked with dangerous missions to explore the icy planet Niflheim. When one version of Mickey dies, a new one is created with retained memories. Directed by Bong Joon Ho, this marks the director’s first film since his Oscar-winning masterpiece Parasite (2019). Mickey 17 is set to release in Korea on February 28.

Fans of Pattinson and Running Man alike are eager to see this unique crossover, adding to the show’s legacy of featuring international stars.
