HYBE LABELS JAPAN is kicking off a new project to discover the next generation of J-pop idols. On February 2, the label announced that the audition program Cheering-HIGH Yume no Startline will premiere on Nippon TV on February 15.
The show, spanning eight episodes, follows 11 aspiring idols—referred to as "runners"—as they strive toward their debut. Viewers will witness their struggles, growth, and camaraderie as they push their limits in pursuit of their dreams.
K-pop star Kim Jaejoong will serve as the contestants' pacemaker, guiding and supporting them throughout the competition. Meanwhile, actor-comedian Kazuya Kojima and Nippon TV announcer Naoki Yasumura will host the show.
HYBE Labels Japan has also released an official poster featuring the contestants, with more content—including profiles and behind-the-scenes footage—set to drop on social media and YouTube via HYBE LABELS +.
Launched in 2021, HYBE Labels Japan focuses on talent scouting, artist management, and music production. The label is home to the 9-member group &TEAM and is now expanding its efforts to shape the future of J-pop.
