Blake Lively has been sued for defamation by Texas crisis communications specialist Jed Wallace, who claims she falsely implicated him in a campaign against her during the production of It Ends With Us.

Wallace and his company, Street Relations, filed a $7 million lawsuit in a Texas federal court on Tuesday, asserting that he had no involvement in any efforts to damage Lively’s reputation, despite being named in her legal filings and a New York Times report.

Lively’s ongoing lawsuit accuses her co-star and director, Justin Baldoni, along with his production company and publicists, of sexual harassment and orchestrating a smear campaign against her. Though Wallace is not a defendant in her case, Lively's legal team has sought a deposition from him, alleging he was used by Baldoni’s associates to manipulate social media narratives.

Wallace’s lawsuit denies any connection to the alleged harassment or retaliation, stating that Lively has no evidence to support her claims against him. Meanwhile, Lively’s lawyers dismissed Wallace’s lawsuit as “retaliation” and expressed confidence that it would be dismissed.

The legal dispute has escalated into a complex web of lawsuits. Baldoni has countersued Lively and her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, for defamation and extortion, seeking at least $400 million in damages. He has also sued The New York Times for libel, while his former publicist has taken Lively’s side in a separate lawsuit.

Despite the controversy, It Ends With Us, based on Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel, performed well at the box office, grossing nearly $150 million domestically. However, its success has been overshadowed by ongoing legal battles surrounding its production and promotion.
