Children's author Ashley St. Clair, 26, revealed on February 14 that Elon Musk is the father of her five-month-old baby. She explained that she had initially kept the news private to protect her child's safety but decided to speak out to prevent harmful rumors.
St. Clair is best known for her 2023 children's book Elephants Are Not Birds. Beyond her literary career, she is a prominent conservative figure with over one million followers on X. She has appeared on Fox News, podcasts, and online shows, often discussing topics such as declining birth rates in wealthy nations.
In her announcement, St. Clair emphasized her desire for a "normal and safe environment" for her child and urged the media to respect their privacy. Her post quickly gained traction, amassing over 35 million views.
Musk has not officially responded to her claim, though he reacted with a surprised "Whoa" under a post suggesting St. Clair had spent years setting him up. She replied, urging him to communicate directly with her team rather than engage with false allegations.
Reports indicate that St. Clair complied with Musk's request to keep their child's birth private. However, growing speculation and online harassment led her to break her silence. She also revealed that she has had no contact with Musk since making the announcement.
Her representative later confirmed that she and Musk had been working on a joint custody agreement, but media interference disrupted the process. St. Clair now hopes for Musk to publicly acknowledge their child and put an end to speculation about their relationship.
If confirmed, this child would be Musk's 13th. He has 12 other children with three women: Justine Wilson (first wife) – They had six children together. Their first child was born in 2002 but tragically passed away at 10 weeks old. They later had five more children before divorcing in 2008; Grimes (Claire Boucher) – Musk had three children with the singer after they began dating in 2018; Shivon Zilis – The Neuralink executive shares three children with Musk, including a set of twins born just weeks before Grimes welcomed their third child.
Musk, who has been vocal about the importance of increasing birth rates, is currently dating Shivon Zilis.
