BLACKPINK’s Jisoo has officially opened a new TikTok account, sparking excitement among global fans as she gears up for her highly anticipated solo comeback.
Currently, Jisoo’s TikTok account remains private, with only 23 followers and no official content uploaded yet. However, her decision to join the platform is seen as a move to strengthen communication with international fans, especially as she prepares to release her first mini-album, AMORTAGE, on February 14.
Jisoo’s presence on TikTok is particularly notable given the ongoing discussions about a potential ban on the app in the United States. The U.S. government has passed a bill that could require ByteDance, TikTok’s parent company, to sell its U.S. business rights by January 19, 2025, due to concerns over data security. Despite this, Jisoo appears to be embracing TikTok as a key promotional tool, ensuring she stays connected with fans across various platforms.
Her upcoming album, AMORTAGE, marks her first solo comeback in nearly two years since the release of FLOWER in March 2023 and her first album since launching her own agency. The album consists of four tracks—"Earthquake," "Your Love," "TEARS," and *"Hugs & Kisses"—*all of which Jisoo personally contributed to as a songwriter.
