The 2025 BAFTA Film Awards, often referred to as the "British Oscars," took place on February 16 (local time), celebrating outstanding achievements in film over the past year.
The Best Film award went to "Conclave," a Vatican drama that led this year’s nominations with 12 nods, surpassing "Emilia Pérez" (11 nominations) and "The Brutalist" (9 nominations).

In the acting categories, Mikey Madison won Best Actress, while Zoe Saldaña took home Best Supporting Actress. For male actors, Adrien Brody secured Best Actor, and Kieran Culkin was named Best Supporting Actor.
The Best Director award went to Brady Corbet for "The Brutalist". In his acceptance speech, Corbet humbly stated that "there really is no Best Director" and paid respect to his fellow nominees while expressing gratitude to BAFTA.
Beyond Best Director and Best Actor, The Brutalist also won Best Cinematography and Best Original Score, adding to its strong presence at the ceremony.
