Top actors Song Hye-kyo and Gong Yoo are set to collaborate in writer Noh Hee-kyung’s highly anticipated new drama, 'Slowly, Intensely'. Netflix confirmed on February 10 that the series will feature a star-studded cast, including Kim Seol-hyun, Cha Seung-won, and Lee Ha-nui.
Set in the Korean entertainment industry from the 1960s to the 1980s, Slowly, Intensely follows the struggles and ambitions of individuals chasing success in a rapidly evolving industry. Song Hye-kyo will portray Min-ja, a resilient woman who overcomes a difficult childhood and takes a bold leap into the Korean music industry in pursuit of a better life.

Gong Yoo takes on the role of Dong-goo, Min-ja’s childhood friend who follows her path into the music world. Kim Seol-hyun will play Min-hee, who shares a complex love-hate relationship with Min-ja, while Cha Seung-won portrays Gil-yeo, a legendary composer of the era. Lee Ha-nui rounds out the cast as Min-hee’s mother, who harbors her own dreams of stardom.
The drama will be directed by Lee Yoon-jung, known for hit series like Coffee Prince and Cheese in the Trap. While the exact release date has not yet been announced, Slowly, Intensely is already generating excitement as one of Netflix’s most anticipated upcoming projects.
