MAMAMOO’s Moonbyul has officially launched her Japanese solo career with the release of her debut single Aurora, marking a major milestone in her global expansion.

On the 5th at noon, Moonbyul unveiled Moon Byul Japan Debut Single ‘Aurora’, signaling her full-fledged entry into the Japanese market. This release comes 11 years after her debut, showcasing her artistic evolution through a project as mesmerizing as its namesake.

The title track, ほしあかり ("Starlight"), which Moonbyul co-wrote, beautifully captures themes of love and eternity, comparing them to light. The song starts with a soft acoustic guitar introduction before building into a rich, emotional blend of band sounds, complementing Moonbyul’s distinctive tone and creating a dreamy, atmospheric experience.

Accompanying the release, the music video presents a visually stunning interpretation of the night sky, featuring Moonbyul in a captivating band performance.

The single also includes the rock ballad Because of You and Is This Love? (Japanese Ver.), a reimagined version of It’s a Story of a Friend of a Friend, the title track from her first full-length repackaged album released in Korea last August.

With Aurora, Moonbyul embarks on a new chapter, solidifying her presence in the Japanese music scene and beyond.
