Terell Rodgers, a 31-year-old man from Florida, has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly beating his 25-year-old girlfriend with a baseball bat in a Kissimmee motel room and setting the bed on fire.
The woman sustained multiple skull fractures and is not expected to survive.
Rodgers reportedly admitted to feeling "in control" during the attack. He faces multiple charges, including attempted homicide, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, first-degree arson, false imprisonment, and criminal mischief.
