It was recently revealed that actress Jun Ji-hyun underwent a tax investigation by the National Tax Service in 2023 and paid an additional tax of approximately 20 million won.

In response, her agency Eum Hash Tag issued a statement explaining, "The adjustment was due to differences in interpretation of cost processing methods between the National Tax Service and tax accountants. This has no connection to any illegal activities."

The agency further emphasized that the investigation was conducted through legal procedures, confirming that there were no significant issues. They reassured that the additional tax payment was a routine adjustment rather than a sign of wrongdoing.

This marks Jun Ji-hyun’s second tax investigation, following a previous one in 2014. Speculation arose that the inquiry might be related to her real estate transactions, given her history of lucrative investments. She notably purchased a building in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul for 8.6 billion won, later selling it for 23.5 billion won in 2021.

Despite rumors, her agency maintains that the tax matter is routine and unrelated to any major financial controversies.
