Actress Son Na-eun has taken legal steps after becoming a victim of cell phone hacking. On February 12, she revealed on Instagram that her personal phone had been hacked and shared an official statement from YG Entertainment regarding the incident.
According to YG, the hacker initially demanded money in exchange for not disclosing illegally obtained data. Son Na-eun complied once to protect her family and acquaintances, but the threats continued with further demands. The hacker has also contacted her family, causing severe psychological distress.
The case is now under formal police investigation, with Son Na-eun’s side vowing to take strong legal action against privacy violations and threats. They also urged the media to avoid spreading unverified reports while the investigation is ongoing.
