A civil lawsuit accusing Sean "Diddy" Combs and Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in 2000 was dismissed with prejudice on Friday, according to a court filing. The Jane Doe plaintiff voluntarily dropped the case, with both defendants' legal teams consenting to the dismissal.

Jay-Z’s attorney, Alex Spiro, called the lawsuit "false" and emphasized that his client never settled or paid anything, declaring, "Today is a victory." Similarly, Combs’s legal team criticized the case, calling it part of a media-driven campaign with no factual basis.

The lawsuit, originally filed in October 2024, was one of several brought by attorney Tony Buzbee against Combs. Many of these cases have not moved forward due to the anonymity of the plaintiffs. Meanwhile, Combs remains in federal custody following his September 2024 sex-trafficking arrest, which he continues to deny.
