A video of Seungri (real name Lee Seung-hyun), former Big Bang member, recently went viral online, leading to renewed criticism. However, it has now been revealed that the clip is actually from six years ago.

On February 10, a video titled "Seungri's latest updates in Korea" spread across online communities, showing him dancing with three women on the streets of Korea and taking short video shots. Many netizens reacted negatively, believing it to be a recent recording.

However, it was later confirmed that the footage dates back to 2019, prior to his involvement in the Burning Sun scandal. Despite this, Seungri is facing fresh backlash, with many questioning why he was seen filming such a video after the controversy had already erupted.

Seungri was a central figure in the 2018 Burning Sun scandal and was later convicted on nine charges, including habitual gambling, prostitution mediation, sexual crime violations, embezzlement, and special assault instigation. He was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison and was released on February 9, 2023.

In January 2024, he again drew attention after being spotted singing and dancing to a Big Bang song at a private party in Cambodia. Now, with this resurfaced video, Seungri remains a divisive figure in public opinion.
