Specifically, BIGBANG's official YouTube channel has listed the group members including T.O.P, G-Dragon, Daesung, Taeyang. T.O.P himself also added the stage name associated with BIGBANG before his real name Choi Seung Hyun on Instagram.
However, on February 12, T.O.P's representative company KST denied this suspicion: "The name T.O.P has appeared on actor Choi Seung Hyun's personal page for a long time. As revealed in the interview about Squid Game 2, he felt sorry for the other members and did not have any discussions related to BIGBANG." YG Entertainment also denied: "The BIGBANG YouTube channel profile has not changed since the release of the song Still Life. At that time, the names of G-Dragon, Taeyang, T.O.P and Daesung were listed as contributors to the song." Thus, two official announcements from the management company have shattered the dream of BIGBANG reuniting with T.O.P of many fans.
BIGBANG debuted in 2006 as a 5-member group, but Seungri left the group after the Burning Sun scandal in 2019. After T.O.P left the group, BIGBANG is currently active with 3 members G-Dragon, Daesung and Taeyang. Remember in 2023, T.O.P shocked the music industry when he announced that he was no longer a member of the legendary group. I said I would leave the group because I did not want to continue to cause harm to the company and the members. The feeling of guilt was too great. I felt that if I stayed in the group, my name would be associated with the group as a stain, and I could not face that. It was really painful."
T.O.P mentioned the 2017 drug scandal as a stain on his career, and he was heavily criticized for this issue. Every time he saw fans wanting BIGBANG to reunite, T.O.P felt heartbroken. "When I read posts from fans wanting a reunion, my heart really ached. There were fans who posted old photos of BIGBANG and tagged me. When I looked at those photos, I felt like I was looking at a photo of a broken family. Every time I did that, I felt pain and suffering that cannot be described in words. This pain can only be understood by those involved. However, the way I acted at that time was due to a lack of thinking."
This is also the reason why T.O.P reacted harshly, even blocking fans, causing a wave of fierce criticism. The former BIGBANG eldest brother did not contact the members because he could not stop feeling guilty. T.O.P shared that he watched BIGBANG's reunion stage at MAMA 2024 "I watched the reaction of the stage. It was really great. I always support the members, hoping they will succeed.
