Former Crayon Pop member Choa has opened up about her emotional journey to motherhood after overcoming cervical cancer.

On the 4th, Choa took to social media to share her joy, writing, “Those who watched Joseon's Lover yesterday…!! Thank you so much for your supportive comments and messages of encouragement. Finally…!!! I got permission to get pregnant!!! These are the words I’ve been longing to hear from my doctorㅠㅠ.”

She continued with a heartfelt plea, “To get straight to the point—my first priority is successfully getting pregnant! Please share any tips! I’m currently taking vitamin D, folic acid, and iron, but if there are any other recommended supplements, I’d love to know! Seniors, please help me meet an angel baby who looks like my husband.”

Choa’s story was recently highlighted on TV Chosun’s Joseon's Lover, where she revealed her battle with cervical cancer. She was diagnosed in her first year of marriage during a routine health checkup while preparing for pregnancy. Initially, doctors recommended a hysterectomy, leaving Choa and her husband devastated. However, after seeking multiple opinions, they found a medical team capable of removing the cancer while preserving her fertility. She underwent surgery in August 2023.

During a follow-up visit on January 6, doctors discovered a cyst on her ovary, but ultimately gave her the long-awaited approval to try for a baby, bringing her to tears of joy.

In her post, Choa shared a digitally generated image of a baby created by her sister using an AI app, expressing her deep desire to conceive naturally before considering IVF. She also revealed a touching gesture from her husband, who planned a special wedding anniversary celebration for her.

Married to a businessman six years her senior since 2021, Choa is now looking forward to this new chapter in her life, asking for advice and encouragement from those who have experienced the journey to motherhood.
