During an appearance on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show, Elton John surprised fans by admitting that he never listens to his own music or watches his past performances.
"I'm not going to play my old music," the legendary British singer shared. "I don't listen to my music, but we made some really great records. We made 13 albums at that time, with a lot of singles. We toured and worked together with incredible momentum."

The Your Song hitmaker also confessed that he avoids watching himself perform: "I don't watch anything about me because I don't like seeing myself that often. I'm not someone who dwells on my own success."
For Elton John, music played a crucial role in his recovery after getting sober in 1990. Since then, he has continued creating new music, believing it to be essential to his healing process.
"And when I got sober, my whole life changed: I found David (Elton John's husband), we had our sons. I'm the happiest and luckiest man in the world," he said.
