According to a report by Russian website Lenta on February 6, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) allegedly paid Hollywood stars substantial sums to visit Ukraine and publicly condemn Russia’s military operations. The claim was echoed by the American program Entertainment News, which also revealed the reported fees involved.

Angelina Jolie's visit to Kyiv was the most expensive, with a reported payment of $20 million—matching the highest salary she has received for a film, referring to Salt. Orlando Bloom, known for his roles in The Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean, ranked second, allegedly receiving $8 million for his trip.
Other celebrities mentioned include Sean Penn, who was reportedly paid $5 million for a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Ben Stiller with $4 million, and Jean-Claude Van Damme with $1.5 million.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian parliament member Alexander Dubinsky has previously claimed that USAID's involvement in Ukraine is aimed at provoking tensions in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. He further alleged that the U.S. is leveraging the situation for financial gain and to reshape the energy market.
