Daniel Wu recently reunited with Jackie Chan in Los Angeles during the Lunar New Year, marking their first meeting in six years. The actor shared a selfie with the Hong Kong cinema legend on social media, referring to him as "Daigor" (big brother in Cantonese).

"After about six years apart, it was great to celebrate the Lunar New Year with one of the most influential mentors in my life," Wu wrote. He recalled their first meeting in 1997, when he was introduced to Jackie Chan at a party. "Less than 30 seconds later, he asked for my phone number. The next day, his manager, Chan Tsze-Keung, called me, and that’s when a new chapter of my life began."

Wu was managed by Jackie Chan's JC Group for 11 years and starred alongside him in four films. Among them, his role as the villain Joe in New Police Story (2004) remains one of his most memorable performances, while Shinjuku Incident (2009) was an unforgettable experience for him. "I have learned so much from this man. I am grateful to have Daigor in my life. Love him," Wu expressed.

Besides these two projects, Wu and Chan also worked together on The Heavenly Kings (2005) and CZ12 (2012). Although they have met less frequently in recent years, their friendship has remained strong.

Born in 1974, Daniel Wu is one of the most successful Asian actors in Hollywood. According to CNA, he will soon star in a romantic action comedy alongside Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan.

Meanwhile, at 71, Jackie Chan continues his acting career despite his declining box office influence. His recent film, Hidden Strike, earned just over 300 million yuan, with estimated losses between 125 and 135 million yuan.
