On February 7, the non-profit organization Snail of Love (Chairman Kim Min-ja) announced that EXO’s Chanyeol has officially become the 14th member of the prestigious donor club, ‘Soul Leader.’
Since 2021, Chanyeol has been making regular contributions to Snail of Love, supporting cochlear implant surgeries and language rehabilitation for 13 hearing-impaired children. He donates monthly and has also made additional contributions on special occasions like Children's Day and Christmas. Notably, at the end of last year, he donated 20 million won, bringing his cumulative donations to over 99 million won.
In recognition of his generosity, Chanyeol has now been honored as a ‘Soul Leader,’ a title given to donors who surpass 99 million won in contributions.
Expressing his gratitude, Chanyeol shared, “I have been donating since 2021, and I’m happy and honored to learn more about these meaningful efforts through this ceremony. As a Soul Leader, I will continue to support and explore ways to help even more.”
Chairman Kim Min-ja also expressed appreciation, stating, “Chanyeol’s consistent generosity and warmhearted spirit are truly inspiring. His influence as a ‘leader’ spreading the ‘sound’ of kindness will make a significant impact on the lives of many hearing-impaired individuals.”
Meanwhile, Snail of Love also runs the ‘Soul Club,’ a group for donors who contribute at least 100,000 won monthly or a one-time donation of 5 million won or more. Since its launch in September, the club has grown to include 101 members.
