Sean “Diddy” Combs has filed a $100 million lawsuit against NBC Universal, claiming that the documentary Diddy: Making of a Bad Boy falsely portrays him as a serial murderer and sex offender. The lawsuit, filed in New York, alleges that NBC knowingly spread falsehoods to defame Combs while he awaits trial on federal sex trafficking charges.

The documentary, which premiered on Peacock, suggests Combs was involved in the deaths of Kimberly Porter, The Notorious B.I.G., and Heavy D. It also accuses him of abusing minors, allegations Combs' legal team calls baseless. His lawyers argue that the documentary distorts facts for profit and jeopardizes his right to a fair trial.
Combs, who has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him, remains in federal custody. His trial is set to begin in May.
