Hani, a member of the group NJZ (formerly NewJeans), has reportedly obtained a new legal residence visa, allowing her to stay in South Korea despite her ongoing legal dispute with agency Adore.

According to Hankyoreh on February 12, Hani secured the visa through legal procedures, though details about the type of visa and her sponsoring workplace remain undisclosed. This comes after controversy surrounding the visa status of foreign NJZ members following their contract termination announcement.

Adore maintains that NewJeans’ exclusive contracts are still valid and had prepared visa extension documents, but reports suggest Hani did not sign them. The dispute even reached the South Korean National Assembly, where lawmakers called for measures to protect foreign idols from visa-related complications.

Meanwhile, NJZ has resumed activities under their new name, announcing a performance at ComplexCon Hong Kong and a new music release. However, Adore continues to assert that the group's contract termination was unilateral and insists they should be referred to as "NewJeans."

With Hani’s visa issue seemingly resolved, fans are watching closely to see how her independent career unfolds.
