Elon Musk has officially deactivated Kanye West’s account following a series of anti-Semitic, misogynistic, and racist remarks by the rapper.

The latest controversy erupted during the Super Bowl, when Kanye took aim at longtime rival Taylor Swift while also making more inflammatory comments. Shortly after, Kanye expressed gratitude to Musk for “allowing me to vent,” but the billionaire swiftly responded by shutting down the rapper’s account.

“With what he posted, his account is now classified as NSFW. You should not see it anymore,” Musk stated, confirming the decision.

In his final tweet before the deactivation, Kanye wrote: "I will be logging off Twitter. I'm so grateful to Elon for letting me vent."

He continued, comparing his experience on the platform to a spiritual journey: "It's been so cathartic to use the world as a listening space. It's like an Ayahuasca trip. Love everyone who's given me energy and attention. We're connected again. Good afternoon and good night."

Despite the backlash from social media users and celebrities condemning his remarks as racist, sexist, and ignorant, Kanye insisted that speaking his mind had brought him peace. He also took the opportunity to mention Kendrick Lamar, stating: "Kendrick is being used by white people and Jews, and so am I."

Milo Yiannopoulos, owner of Tarantula, the talent management company representing both Kanye West and his wife Bianca Censori, confirmed that Kanye will be taking an indefinite break from the platform.
