Korean artist DJ Koo has broken his silence following the passing of his wife, Barbie Hsu. In a statement on February 6, he expressed his deep sorrow and frustration over false rumors spreading during the family's mourning.
DJ Koo emphasized that Barbie Hsu worked hard for her wealth and always prioritized her family’s well-being. To honor her wishes, he has given up all inheritance rights in favor of her mother.
He also vowed to protect Hsu’s children from any harm, stating, “I will not let bad people approach them and will use the law to keep them safe.”
Addressing speculation, DJ Koo criticized individuals spreading misinformation about financial matters and insurance, urging people to let his wife rest in peace. He also appeared to call out Hsu’s ex-husband, Wang Xiaofei, for allegedly staging a public display of grief.
DJ Koo and Barbie Hsu rekindled their relationship in 2021 and married in early 2022 after decades apart. Despite facing numerous challenges, he remained committed to protecting her, saying, “I promised to shelter her for life.”
