According to Taiwanese media, Rain took a moment during his concert in Kaohsiung on the evening of February 15 to honor the late Big S (Barbie Hsu). At the end of his performance, he addressed the audience, explaining his decision to wear a special outfit for the occasion.
"I wore this shirt for a reason. My dear brother, Gu Junye, is a senior that all K-pop artists deeply respect. Sadly, my sister-in-law, Big S, has passed away. Although I never met her, as a younger generation, I felt it was the right choice to mourn her here. Please observe 10 seconds of silence for them."
Rain further expressed his admiration for Gu Junye, emphasizing his respect for the veteran artist.
"Gu Junye is a senior I respect greatly. Even though I can’t visit him, I am praying for him here. This is what I should do. Please support him—he is one of the most honest and kind-hearted people I know. Thank you very much."
