Having already broken even in Korea, the film has surpassed 1 million cumulative viewers in Indonesia and held the No. 1 spot at the Philippine box office for two consecutive weeks since its release.

Indonesian media outlet Kompas praised the film for offering a fresh take on the occult genre, highlighting the chemistry between Song Hye-kyo and Jeon Yeo-bin as a key element that deepens the psychological intensity of the story.
Meanwhile, GQ Taiwan lauded Song Hye-kyo’s captivating transformation, while ENews Taiwan praised the actors' performances, suspenseful plot, and emotional depth that keeps audiences engaged.
Following its release in Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Laos, North America, and Myanmar, Dark Nuns is set to premiere in Singapore and Malaysia on the 13th, followed by Vietnam on the 21st.
